The Courser model is a centralized marketing team that partners with local field marketing teams to drive growth. The leader will lead three critical areas in this model to increase demand and full-funnel yield:
  1. Create and manage the annual Marketing budget and strategic plan.
  2. Directly manage field marketers and geo leaders to win in each local market.
  3. Build and manage a team of high-performing fractional resources for driving top-of-funnel lead generation.
Position Overview:
  • Build the strategic marketing plan and budgets in line with company objectives to maximize the impact and cost-effectiveness (ROMI)
  • Develop and oversee the integrated marketing campaign calendar across our local geographies using relevant KPIs and metrics to measure and report on the results and optimize our marketing efforts.
  • Manage the regional field marketing teams that oversee localizing and executing the marketing initiatives in their respective markets. You will provide them with guidance, support, and feedback and ensure they alignment with the overall marketing strategy and objectives.
  • Build and oversee a high-performing team of fractional outsourced resources to supplement our internal team. You will supervise the outsourced resources' selection, training, evaluation, and coordination and ensure they deliver quality work that meets our standards and expectations.
  • Creating and delivering sales enablement programs that equip our sales team with the knowledge, skills, tools, and resources they need to sell our services effectively. You will work closely with the sales team to understand their challenges, needs, and feedback and design tailored solutions that address them. You will also monitor and evaluate the impact of sales enablement programs on sales performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the standardization and integration of the marketing technology stack and work to ensure the efficiency and full utilization of all marketing technologies.
  • Utilize KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of marketing initiatives, informing future strategies by interpreting trends, demands, and competitive forces and applying insights to strategic decisions.
  • Integrating acquisitions into our marketing portfolio and ensuring a smooth transition and synergy. You will partner with the acquisition teams to understand their value proposition, target audience, and competitive advantage and develop a plan to incorporate them into our marketing strategy.
To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of leading successful marketing initiatives in the managed service provider industry or a related field. You should also have excellent communication, leadership, analytical skills, and a creative and innovative mindset.
Detailed Responsibilities:
  • Create and execute a comprehensive marketing plan that supports our mission, vision, values, and goals across multiple brands.
  • Lead and motivate the marketing team to deliver high-quality work and achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with other senior executives to ensure a consistent and coherent integrated marketing strategy across all channels and platforms.
  • Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources efficiently to achieve the best results.
  • Manage vendor spiffs and market development funds (MDF) to supplement internal programs and budgets.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance and effectiveness of marketing campaigns and activities using relevant KPIs and metrics.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities, customer needs, preferences, and satisfaction.
  • Use data-driven insights to optimize our marketing ROI.
  • Indirectly manage the regional field marketing teams that oversee localizing and executing the marketing initiatives in their respective markets.
  • Provide guidance, support, and feedback to the field marketing managers and ensure alignment with the overall marketing strategy and objectives.

  • Create and deliver sales enablement programs that equip our sales team with the knowledge, skills, tools, and resources they need to sell our services effectively.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of sales enablement programs on sales performance.
  • Develop a customer satisfaction program (i.e., NPS) to measure the health of our clients.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as sales, product development, partners, vendors, media, etc.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, policies, and ethical standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a revenue-related marketing or sales role, preferably in the managed service provider industry or a related technology services field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a marketing leadership role or a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and executing successful marketing strategies and campaigns across multiple channels and platforms.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing principles, practices, tools, and techniques.
  • Proficient in using various marketing software and applications, such as CRM, CMS, SEO/SEM, analytics, email marketing, social media management, etc.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership, management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and analytically.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
