The Build Engineer will support the onboarding process by preparing and configuring new workstations for incoming employees. This entry‑level role focuses on imaging devices, installing required software, applying security configurations, and ensuring each workstation is fully functional prior to deployment. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, organized, and eager to learn foundational IT operational skills. No prior hands‑on experience is required, but a degree in an IT‑related field is necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, image, and prepare new workstations for employee onboarding
- Install and update operating systems, applications, and security tools
- Perform basic hardware checks and ensure devices meet company standards
- Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and workstation assignments
- Collaborate with IT team members to support smooth onboarding processes
- Follow documented procedures and contribute to process improvements
Qualifications
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of operating systems and computer hardware concepts
- Good communication and organizational skills
